"This photoshoot was more than capturing images; it was a journey of self-discovery. It allowed me to express the layers of my identity, from my heritage to my personal evolution. The thoughtful guidance I received helped me to unveil my vulnerabilities as strengths, leaving me with images that celebrate not just how I look, but who I am at my core. A truly empowering experience."

 Jen

Jen is a Korean-American mom of 2 and a content creator in the beauty realm. Jen was no stranger to being in photoshoots and seeing images of herself, but even then she felt like she has yet to see a full version of herself. Being in the beauty industry, she's had to withstand the pressure of showing up "perfect" in every scenario and she wanted to break free to express a more raw and vulnerable side of her. This conversation with David led to finding two other sides of her she wanted to explore and celebrate: her cultural and sensual side.

Lastly, having grown up with conservative values in Kansas, Jen felt like she always had to present proper. Her sensual side was always hidden away because of her fear of judgement. Now she wants to be able to express that side of her.

sensual

As a mom of 2 and as someone who grew up being taught that crying is bad, Jen wanted to connect with her vulnerable side more. To not only tell her inner-child that it's okay to be sad, but also set the right example for her two kids.

vulnerable

Jen wanted to connect with her Korean culture in a way where she could be unapologetically Korean loud and proud in a modern way. We talked what it means to be Korean-American that empowers her.
