Earning the reputation as the 'King of Poses' through the likes of Forbes, the New Yorker, and the Today Show, David is respected as a movement coach and healer.
David amassed a following of over 7 million people teaching a global audience how to define their beauty and celebrate it in a way that empowers them. His services are sought after for his emotional and mindful approach to portrait photography.
With his decade of experience in portrait photography and his passion in empowering people of all backgrounds, David founded DASU Studios to not only pave a path for mindful portraits in the industry, but to create a space that welcomes multiple creative mediums and experiences.
David is a "Kpop star on the outside and a monk on the inside" as his photography mentor, Sue Bryce, said in a New Yorker article. He understands the power of practicing mindfulness in portraits to explore our multifaceted beauty while acknowledging the trauma we hold around seeing ourselves in photos.
David is devoted to creating a space that welcomes you to feel inspired and curious to express who you are - something that he was only able to do after creating a space that allowed him to shed his self limiting beliefs. Through portraits, David built a new relationship with his identity that empowers him to be someone that he is empowered by.
"Before being a photographer, I consider myself a guide that creates a space that welcomes you to embark on a journey of self exploration. I invite you to feel inspired and curious about meeting the different versions of you, even the ones you unknowingly have been dismissing. Let's challenge our self-perception and find empowerment in our identity." - David
